NEW Wonky Dies

Hello crafty friends!  It's officially fall!  I'm anticipating spending a lot of time in my craft room this fall and winter, since I'm not much of a cool weather person.  Today I'm sharing a couple cards using some new Wonky dies by Gina Marie Designs.

The Wonky Stitched Rectangle Dies by Gina are some of my favorites!  I was so excited to find out that she now also has Wonky Squares, Circles, and Ovals too!  Below are a couple of cards I made today featuring the Wonky Stitched Circles.

For this card I created a fun layered flower by stacking three different sizes of the circle dies and adding a couple of leaves, which I just cut by hand.

I was inspired by the color challenge over on the Kat Scrappiness blog when I created this fun fall card.  It's super simple and quick to create.  I love LOVE Lawn Fawn plaid papers, and this one happens to match the color challenge perfectly.

I feel like I said "wonky" about 20 times in this blog post, but these dies are a lot of fun to use.  Thank you so much for stopping by!

Naughty Christmas Cards?

Hi crafty friends!!  I wanted to jump on and make a real quick entry to share a couple cards I made recently.

I love this Naughty stamp and die set by Kat Scrappiness and I've had so much fun creating with it.  It comes with a coordinating "Naughty" word die and several really fun and cheeky sentiments in the stamp set.  So many fun possibilities.

I bought this cute Santa die at the Echo Park warehouse sale last year.  It's dangerous living only an hour and a half away from them!  I've had him in my stash for the past year and was finally able to use him for this project.

Thank you so much for stopping by!

Happy World Card Making Day!!

Happy World Cardmaking Day!  I had already made a card for today, but was so inspired by the inspiration board over on the Kat Scrappiness blog I had to make another.  The colors are absolutely stunning!

Here is the card I created:

And here is the inspiration board from Kat's blog:

I used the Patterned Leaf Stencil from Gina Marie Designs to create my background, along with a variety of Distress Inks.  The Thankful word came from this Thank You Words stamp set, and the Circle die is from Kat Scrappiness and can be found HERE.

Thanks for stopping by my blog!  Have a wonderful weekend!!

Pumpkin Kisses

Hi crafty friends!!  Today I'm sharing a couple different cards I made using the new Harvest Pumpkin layering stamp set from Gina Marie Designs.

It's amazing how different these two cards look even though they're nearly identical.  I can't quite decide which look I like better.  The vibrant colors against the white cardstock really pop, but I also love the soft muted look of the one on kraft cardstock.  It almost looks like it's been colored with colored pencils.

This set is definitely one of my favorites to stamp out.  Even though it's a layering set I stamped both of these cards without using a stamping tool.  The layers are very easy to line up.  This is one of several really fun sets that will be included in the October 1st release.

A Multi-Use Stencil!

Happy Wednesday!!  How fun is this new background stencil by Gina Marie Designs!?  It's a multi-use stencil that can be used to create the look of wood or a spider web!!

For these two cards I used my air brush system, though you certainly don't need to.  I started with a Neenah Dessert Storm cardstock for the wood and airbrushed on a few different tones of brown, concentrating the darker near the center.

Here's a closer look at the cute spider web and spider, which is covered in Glossy Accents...

I recently found a fellow cardmaker on Instagram (Kristie Marcotte) who designs some fabulous card sketches.  I was inspired by one of them when I made today's cards.  She also has a blog where she creates 6x6 paper pad tutorials and challenges herself to use the ENTIRE 6x6 pad before moving on to the next.  I love that she ACTUALLY uses her 6x6 paper pads.  I think (actually, I know) that so many of us papercrafters hoard them!  Thank You your wonderful inspiration, Kristie!

Sleigh Bells Ring, Are You Listening?

Sharing another quick sneak peek of a holiday sentiment stamp set being release by Gina Marie Designs on October 1st!!

I love how peaceful this one feels and I love the soft blue, grey, and white color scheme with TONS of glitter, sequins, and sparkly embellishments added.  I imagine a quiet winter morning, watching the snow fall, listening to Christmas music...

I forgot how much I love this time of year and getting to make Christmas cards.  There's something about making Christmas cards that is so festive and fun.  Gina has some really great new sets coming out just in time for the holidays, too.  Her next release is on October 1st!!  Less than a week away!
